Growing up the son of a criminal defense attorney, I always thought of practicing law as an adversarial process. I had always heard stories from inside the courtroom, most were comical, while others had less joyful tones and outcomes. It wasn’t until I started working the real estate area of the law that I quickly figured out there is an area of the law where most people leave the table with smiles on their faces.
Growing up in Bowling Green, I’ve watched firsthand this town transform into what it has become today. It was always my goal to come back here, dive into the practice of law, and try in someway to help facilitate Bowling Green’s growth. Luckily, I am able to accomplish this goal little by little. Whether it is closing a loan for new residents of Bowling Green, or helping a growing family move into a home that will provide the space to fit their needs, I have the opportunity to come to work everyday and make someone’s life better.
I work during the fall as a videographer for a local small business. We work with area high schools to provide recruiting videos for potential college prospects, as well as compose team highlight films. In my seven years working for this small business, I have seen several players who are now playing on Sunday afternoons.
I also volunteer my time in the winter to coach Upward Youth Basketball at First Baptist Church here in Bowling Green. There are many practices and games I leave being thankful I do not yet have children, but to help a child develop his skills and having fun while doing it is truly rewarding.
