      Biography

      Mr. Fine is an experienced personal injury plaintiff's attorney. He holds Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating* (AV) and was a Grievance Committee Chairman for the Eighth Judicial Circuit for 2006-2008. He has taught as adjunct faculty in the trial practice course at the University of Florida Levin College of Law since 1983. Mr. Fine coached a trial team for the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1994.

      Mr. Fine was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1976, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1977, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida in 1991, and the U.S. Court of Appeals 11th Circuit in 1982.

      His notable cases include Nieboer v. T.L., 394 So.2d 163 (Fla. 1st DCA 1981); Graham v. Vann, 394 So.2d 176 (Fla. 1st DCA 1981), and Turner v. PCR, Inc., 754 So.2d 683 (Fla. 2000). He published a Chapter in Criminal Trial Practice in Florida, on "Objections to Evidence," published by the Florida Bar in 1984 and was an editor of the LexisNexis Practice Guide on Florida Personal Injury in 2006.

      Mr. Fine has made numerous presentations including one on Premises Liability of Landlords for Criminal Attacks to educate apartment complex owners and managers regarding things they could and should do to protect their tenants following the student murders that occurred in Gainesville in August of 1990. He has also presented at the Florida Workers' Advocates Educational Conference regarding Workers Compensation Immunity and on Legal Procedures and Overview of Testimony, Deposition and Trial at the Women as Victims, an Awareness Seminar.

      Mr. Fine was born in New York, New York. He is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine. He graduated with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1976. In law school, he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. After graduation he practiced as an assistant Public Defender in their Third Judicial Circuit office in Lake City from 1976-1977. He then worked as an assistant Public Defender in the Gainesville office of the Public Defender from 1977-1980. In 1980 he founded the firm, which is now known as Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A.

      Mr. Fine now exclusively represents victims of personal injury in claims against negligent parties.
