Jake T. Welch

Prior to joining Whittelsey & Corley Law Firm, Jake worked at the District Attorney's Office of Lee County, Alabama. During his tenure there, he prosecuted a wide variety of cases including assaults, DUI's, and drug cases. Jake's practice now primarily focuses on criminal defense, as well as motor vehicle accidents, personal injury, insurance, and other general civil litigation.

Jake is licensed in Federal Court, the Middle District of Alabama.

Prior to law school, Jake played baseball at Southern Illinois University (Carbondale), and was a team captain his final two years.

Jake's father, John, is an attorney in Malden, Missouri, and the municipal judge there as well. His mother, Jennifer, resides in Jackson, Mississippi as well as his oldest brother, Kyle Gartman. Jake's middle brother, Ross Gartman, lives in Melbourne, Florida.
