      Biography

      Attorney Jean Porcello-Giusto received her B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 1982 with a double major in English and Political Science and her J.D. degree from Massachusetts School of Law in 1993. She has been practicing in Salem, Massachusetts for over 20 years.

      Jean began her practice as an Essex County Bar Advocate where she represented criminal defendants in the District Court and juveniles subject to care and protection cases in the Juvenile Court. Today, Jean’s practice is predominantly in the area of domestic relations and family law, including divorce, child support and custody, paternity and pre-nuptial agreements. She has argued before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts that siblings should not be separated. In 2009 Jean represented the Plaintiff in one of Essex County’s first same-sex divorce cases.

      Jean is currently the President of the Salem Bar Association and serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Essex County Bar Association. She is also on the Board of Trustees for Salem Five Bank.
