Jessica A. Slippen

Ms. Slippen handles employment litigation matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. She has experience in a wide variety of employment matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination (on the basis of race, sex, age, disability, pregnancy, sexual orientation, religion, or national origin), sexual harassment, hostile work environment, and retaliation. Outside of the courtroom, Jessica advises clients on numerous workplace related issues, including wage and hour obligations, family and medical leave, and compliant personnel policies and practices. Jessica also has extensive jury and non-jury litigation and trial experience in a wide range of complex litigation areas, including insurance coverage and contract and shareholder disputes.

Jessica graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Law in 2003 where she was the Administrative Editor of the Connecticut Law Review. She was the recipient of the CALI Award of Excellence in Legal Writing. Jessica serves as a Board Member and Chair of the Labor Law Section of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. She was listed as a Connecticut Super Lawyers Rising Stars: Business Litigation, 2010-2011 and 2013, and then Super Lawyer for 2014-2015, 2017-2021 (click here to review selection process). Jessica is admitted to practice before the Connecticut State Bar, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the District of Connecticut, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
