Joel Williams

A lifelong native of Florida, Joel was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL, were he obtained both his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor from Florida State University. Upon graduating from law school, Joel moved to Pensacola, FL to serve as a prosecutor in the State Attorney’s Office of the First Judicial Circuit of Florida. As a prosecutor, he gained immediate and invaluable trial experience where he handled 15 jury trials to verdict as first chair, as well as sitting first or second chair in dozens of other jury and bench trials. From there, Joel transitioned to a small civil defense litigation practice in Pensacola where he honed his civil trial skills with two board certified civil trial attorneys.

In 2016, Joel and his wife, Jenny, relocated to the Tampa Bay area to be closer to family as they started their own. He joined another small insurance defense practice, where he represented business entities, insurance companies and their insureds in injury, auto, and construction defect claims. It was during this time Joel realized his true passion as an attorney was to be able to help those in need as opposed to insurance companies or corporations.

As an attorney at Chambers Law Group, P.A., Joel combines his trial skills refined as a prosecutor with his knowledge of defending insurance companies in injury claims to represent those injured as a result of someone else’s negligence. Joel is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Florida Justice Association.

Joel and his family reside near downtown St. Petersburg, where they enjoy visiting all of St. Pete’s wonderful restaurants, shops and parks with their daughter, Everett. In his spare time, Joel enjoys boating, fishing, golfing, volunteering, and being a proud supporter of FSU athletics.
