John D. McKay

John McKay is a personal injury attorney in the United States and Canada, registered Solicitor in England, who has decades of experience handling aviation-related personal injury and wrongful death claims. Licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Commercial Pilot, he has served as the Pilot-in-Command of a variety of civil aircraft. He has tried cases to jury verdicts for more than 25 years, in state and federal courts alike. Prior to entering his private practice, he worked in one of the top aviation law firms in the world and as a Claims Attorney in one of the leading international aviation insurance companies, where he gained invaluable expertise in the London insurance market (which controls the defense and settlement of most aviation related claims). He has been involved in the successful resolution of claims arising from many of the largest airliner crashes in recent history, as well as dozens of cases involving injuries and deaths caused by small private aircraft accidents, both in the United States and abroad.
