Hawaii native, Attorney John D. Yamane, has been defending the rights of accident victims since 1971. Before cofounding Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner, he worked in a private practice, alongside Attorney James Leavitt, where he focused majority of his work on the area of personal injury law. During this time, he tried various personal injury cases to verdict. Before committing his life to helping persons injured in accidents, Attorney Yamane served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the County and City of Honolulu. During the years in this position, he handled a wide range of cases, including traffic cases, juvenile court cases, and felony trials such as murder cases.
Before devoting his life to judiciary work, Attorney Yamane attended University of Washington where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree. Following his undergraduate coursework studies, he enrolled in University of Washington Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 1978. After completing school, Attorney Yamane was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar Association, the Consumer Lawyers of Hawaii, and the American Association for Justice.
