Biography
EXPERIENCE COUNTS! Criminal Defense including DUI/DWI Defense, Drug & Marijuana Cases, Divorces & Personal Injury. Mr. Scherf has been selected as one of the “Top One Percent” of attorneys in the United States and one of Alabama’s “Top Trial Lawyers”. He has handled cases in almost every county in the state and served as the lead litigator for multiple law firms including Scherf, Griffin & Davis; Scherf, Davis & Gedgoudas; and Scherf Law Firm.
Mr. Scherf earned his undergraduate degree at the University of West Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology with a Minor in Criminal Justice in 1987. He went to law school at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate of Law (J.D.) in 1991.
Selected as one of the Nation’s “Top One Percent” of attorneys for 2017-2023 by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel (NADC). Specifically, less than 1% of practicing attorneys in the United States are members of the “Nation’s Top Attorneys”.
