John Kent Kidwell

John Kidwell has been the owner and managing partner of the Law Firm of Kidwell & Kent since 2004, with offices in Fairfax, Virginia, and Rockville, Maryland. Mr. Kidwell also owns and operates his in-firm commercial and residential real estate title company, Old Dominion Title Services, Inc, and is a licensed financial securities and registered representative.

In 2010 Mr. Kidwell partnered with Long and Foster Realtors to develop a subsidiary, Platinum Group Services, to lay the legal framework for a multi-state short sale prosecution apparatus that pioneered the successful negotiation of real estate short sales across the country, saving thousands of families from foreclosure.

Every year since 2013, John Kidwell has been peer-nominated and selected by the Heritage Registry as a pillar of the community for his work as a Top Attorney in North America and continued dedication to charity.

In 2018, Mr. Kidwell was inducted into Lawyers of Distinction as a Top Estate and Business Planning Attorney in North America, and in 2021 he was published by Lawyers of Distinction as a Top Power Lawyer in America in the New York Times and USA Today.

From 2019-2022, Mr. Kidwell has been awarded by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys as a Top 10 Estate, Legacy and Wealth Management Attorney and his firm, Kidwell & Kent recognized as one of the Top 10 Law Firms in Virginia.
