A majority of Jon's career has been spent as a prosecutor in the metro areas around Denver. In addition, Jon helped to start a successful Broomfield firm that focuses on both criminal defense and family law (formerly Datz & Fee, LLC – now the Datz Law Firm). In addition, Jon traveled with his family to Baltimore, Maryland where he had the opportunity to work for a premier civil defense firm doing work on national products liability cases.
