Josh Hotchkiss has a unique perspective of law from many different experiences. Mr. Hotchkiss served in law enforcement in a variety of roles including patrolman, a street crimes unit officer, SWAT team, and Detective Sargent. Sensing a desire to make a change in his career, Mr. Hotchkiss left law enforcement to pursue a career as an attorney and continue to help people.
Josh Hotchkiss is a Colorado native and grew up on the Western Slope. He attended Western Colorado University where he played football and earned All-American honors and induction into the Mountaineer Sports Hall of Fame. After his collegiate career, Mr. Hotchkiss played professional football, making stops in New York and Europe.
Just after his football career ended, he began a career in law enforcement in the Denver area. He received a Chief's Commendation for meritorious conduct in 2008. Eventually, he moved from Colorado to Montana and attended law school at the University of Montana and achieved his law degree in 2016. In 2017, he became licensed to practice law in Montana.
Before joining the Frank Azar & Associates, Josh worked as a personal injury attorney in Missoula, Montana for nearly three years. Josh has tried cases to verdict and has handled a variety of personal injury matters. He joined Franklin D. Azar & Associates, P.C. in May 2019.
In his time away from being with clients, Josh is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys spending time on the rivers of the American West with his wife and two children. Josh is respected and a great attorney in the work he does for the clients he represents.
