Josh Gimbel joined Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin and Brown, LLP in 2013, after a long partnership at Milwaukee based, Michael Best & Friedrich. Gimbel's Partnership role ushers in a new era at GRGB, building on the already strong groundwork started by the firm's founding partners.
Josh's practice focuses on commercial and corporate litigation, all areas of land use and zoning, real estate and municipal law. He represents developers and individuals in rezoning, special and conditional use approvals, and developer agreement negotiations. This practice area is a great addition to GRGB's, already diverse, legal specialties.
In addition to regular appearances before various municipal boards and administrative agencies on behalf of his clients, Josh has also successfully litigated numerous real property cases. He also has served as counsel for a number of Wisconsin municipalities advising them on boundary agreements, annexation disputes and zoning matters.
Josh has extensive civil litigation experience and has tried many cases to verdict. He has litigated cases involving annexations, zoning and ordinance challenges, easements, commercial and residential purchase agreements and condemnation matters. He also has considerable experience litigating all commercial matters including the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law.
Like his father, Frank Gimbel, Josh is also passionate about giving back. He is active on a wide variety of community based boards and committees as he strives to make a significant impact within the Milwaukee area communities.
