Ms. Wells is a founding member of Skelton Slusher Barnhill Watkins Wells. She was an associate and later partner with Zeleskey Law Firm, and an associate at Fulbright & Jaworski.
Ms. Wells' practice focuses on oil and gas law and she represents several large oil and gas exploration companies performing title examination, preparing title opinions, acquiring receivership leases, assisting with due diligence and contracts, and litigation. She is experienced in negotiating oil and gas leases, pipeline agreements, seismic agreements, filing mineral liens, etc. She also represents individuals in estate planning, probate, guardianship and in forming and maintaining business organizations.
Ms. Wells serves as an adjunct professor at the Nelson Rusche College of Business at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she teaches undergraduate oil and gas law, negotiations, and business law. She received the college's Outstanding Adjunct Faculty award in 2013.
Ms. Wells served as an articles editor on the Houston Law Review, was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and the Order of the Coif for academic achievements and received the Lex Award for Contracts II.
Prior to obtaining a law degree, Ms. Wells was a Registered Nurse and obtained experience in a variety of patient services areas and nursing administrative positions. She was later a Delta Air Lines Flight Attendant.
Ms. Wells and her son, Wyatt, live in Nacogdoches. She enjoys riding horses, gardening, reading, and traveling. They attend Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
