      Biography

      Katherine Thanos is an attorney in the Morgan & Morgan Business Trial Group. Ms. Thanos's practice focuses on representing businesses and individuals in commercial litigation.

      Ms. Thanos was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, majoring in both English and Economics. She later returned to Gainesville to earn her Juris Doctorate degree, with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Thanos was an Ethos of Excellence Scholar, a research assistant, a member of UF Law's Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and a coach for Florida's arbitration team.

      Ms. Thanos has a long-standing commitment to serving the public. During law school, she interned at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Tampa, FL, investigating Title VII violations on behalf of employees wrongly discriminated against by their employers. In addition, Ms. Thanos spent a summer at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Atlanta, advocating for detained immigrants seeking political asylum. She spent her final semester of law school in Washington, D.C. at the Department of Justice. There, she worked as a legal intern in the Criminal Antitrust Division to advance cases against companies engaged in illegal price-fixing and bid-rigging agreements.
