Kathryn Reeder founded the Reeder Law Firm over 20 years ago after being admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1988. Over the course of her career, she has focused her practice primarily in the areas of divorce, child support, custody, wills/trusts, and probate. In addition, Kathryn is a certified mediator and a trained arbitrator.
Kathryn obtained her law degree from Georgia State University School of Law and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from George Mason University. After graduating from law school, she served as an Assistant District Attorney in both Forsyth and Cherokee counties, where her exclusive practice area was the prosecution of child support cases. Within three years, she received an appointment from the Georgia Attorney General's office for the position of Special Assistant Attorney General, representing the Georgia Child Support Enforcement Office in child support actions. In 1992 she received the "Child Support Attorney of the Year" award from the State of Georgia. In addition to representing clients in her private practice, Kathryn continues to serve as a Special Assistant Attorney General in child support related matters.
