      Biography

Katie's practice focuses on personal injury, premises liability, and wrongful death matters. As a former prosecutor, Katie gained both trial experience working with law enforcement officers in investigating and prosecuting motor vehicle fatalities. That knowledge and skill is put to use representing clients who have been injured or lost loved ones as a result of someone else's negligence on the road. Katie also works with clients who have been injured while visiting a business, as a result of a slip or trip, or other condition at the business. Katie believes litigation can be a powerful tool to encourage businesses to make safety a priority.

Katie has been an active member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice since 2014 and previously served on the Auto Torts Executive Committee. She has also been invited to speak to classes at Wake Forest School of Law on topics of trial practice and civil litigation. Katie loves greyhounds dearly, including her own retiree Noodle. Her tennis game is a work in progress, but her 2.5 singles team proudly brought home a state championship in Fall 2022.
