      Biography

      Ken Jones, a Louisiana native, served as Associate Public Defender in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit’s Public Defender’s Office. In addition to his role as trial counsel in the office, he served as a trial attorney in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit’s Juvenile Court. In that capacity, he assisted indigent individuals in the defense of their cases within the Fulton County area. He remained with the office for five years.

      Ken graduated from John McDonough Senior High School. Subsequently, he attended Louisiana State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2005, he received his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center. While in attendance, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Southern University Law Review and also served on the American Inns of Court. In 2005, he published Ewing v. California: Affirmation of the Three Strikes Law. Judicial Discretion or Cruel and Unusual Punishment, with the Southern University Law Review.

      In his free time, Ken enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is an avid fan of the television shows Supernatural, Game of Thrones and Shark Tank.
