Kristen Barrow

Kristen Barrow is an Associate Immigration Attorney with the Law Offices of Dennis Clare, PLC. She graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in May of 2018 and has been a member of the Kentucky Bar since the fall of 2018. Her practice is focused on family-based petitions, humanitarian visas (VAWA, U, and T visas), and removal defense. Her goal is to assist individuals and families to access relief through the immigration system.While at the Brandeis School of Law, Kristen focused her academic and practical experiences primarily on immigration law. She was a fellow with the Brandeis Human Rights Advocacy Program at the Brandeis School of Law, where she advocated for immigrant rights. Through the fellowship, she helped to publish a report of legal research that impacts the noncitizen, immigrant, and refugee population (‘The Right of Significant Language Access for Limited English Proficiency Individuals'). In the Spring of 2017, Kristen received a CALI Award for Excellence for the Future for her academic achievement in Immigration Law.

During her time in law school, Kristen was a volunteer at the Boone County Detention Center with the National Immigration Justice Center, with Catholic Charities of Louisville, with the Kentucky Refugee Ministries, an interpreter for the La Casita Center legal clinics, and volunteer with the Maxwell Street wage-claim clinics in Louisville.
