      Biography

Langdon Ryan Worley was born in Manchester, Kentucky. Her grandfather was an owner of a car dealership there. Her father, a young man fresh out of college at the University of Kentucky at the time, worked at the dealership, learning the ropes of the car business; her mother, also a UK graduate, was a teacher at Clay County High School.

When Langdon was seven years old, her parents bought their own car dealership in Winchester, Kentucky, and her family made the move to Clark County where Langdon spent the next eleven years of her life. Langdon's mother continued her career as a beloved high school teacher, this time at George Rogers Clark High School, while her father owned and operated his local business. Langdon and her younger sister recall their mother going back to school to obtain her master's degree in business administration, taking night classes as-needed (sometimes with two little girls in tow). Watching their parents, Langdon and her sister were taught by example the importance of hard work, dedication to community, and always looking out for others.

Langdon graduated from George Rogers Clark High School. Never wanting to be far from family, and especially from her younger sister, Sydney, she attended Transylvania University where she studied English and Political Science. After graduating, she attended the University of Kentucky College of Law. During her time there, Langdon affirmed her love of being in the courtroom and advocating for others, competing at the national level in the mock trial Tournament of Champions in New York City. She and Josh Hicks were actually on the same trial team, showing that things really do come full circle. While in law school she also met her future husband, Preston Worley.

Since graduating from law school at UK, Langdon has worked for several well-respected law firms in Lexington representing hundreds of individuals and corporations involved in a wide variety of lawsuits. Her work has allowed her to travel to and experience over 70 of Kentucky's counties, take depositions of witnesses, parties, police officers, and experts of all kinds, successfully try cases before Kentucky juries and judges, and help people in their times of need all over Kentucky and beyond. Beyond her career in law, Langdon was a graduate of the Get on Board Program, a member of Leadership Lexington's Class of 2019-2020, the President of Rotaract Club of Lexington, and the President of the Fayette County Women Lawyers Association. She is also a long-time member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities' Special Events Committee.

Langdon lives in Lexington with her husband, Preston (7th District Representative on the LFUCG's City Council), their son, Clark, and their little black and white dog, Archie. When not at work, you can usually find the Worleys enjoying Lexington's public parks, spending time with their close-knit family, trying new restaurants, listening to live music, playing golf, and cheering tirelessly for the Bengals and the Wildcats (Langdon's dad was a defensive end for UK Football from 1977-1981).
