      Biography

      Lannie Milliman attended high school in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and then moved to New Orleans to attend college at Tulane University, where she majored in Psychology. Following her graduation, she studied English Literature at the University of New Orleans for two years. She then attended Tulane University Law School, where she served as a Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and was awarded the Order of the Coif. Lannie was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1995. She then clerked for Senior Judge Nauman S. Scott of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, after which she served as a law clerk for Justice E. Joseph Bleich of the Louisiana Supreme Court.

      Following her judicial clerkships, Lannie worked for several New Orleans area defense firms, where she practiced in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation, and tort defense, before moving to the Northshore and ultimately joining the Truitt Law Firm. Lannie currently practices primarily in the areas of insurance defense, automobile accidents and premises liability. She enjoys a focus on legal writing.

      Lannie has been admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
