Laura D. Cobb is a partner at Olson, Juntunen, Sandberg and Boettner. She joined the firm as a law clerk in the spring of 2016 and in September 2017 as an attorney. She was admitted to the North Dakota Bar in 2017. She is licensed to practice in North Dakota State Courts and is a member of the North Dakota State Bar Association and the Greater Grand Forks County Bar. Laura graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2017. While attending law school, she was active in Moot Court and won the Carrigan Cup Trial Competition. Before joining the firm, Laura was an extern law clerk for Judge John C. McClintock, Jr., in the Northeast Judicial District and was a legal intern at the Grand Forks Air Force Base.
Prior to law school, Laura graduated with academic honors from the University of North Dakota with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in History in 2014.
Laura is a legal affiliate with the North Dakota School Boards Association and a member of the National Council of School Attorneys (COSA). She advises public entities, including representation of many school districts throughout the state, park districts, and water districts. She has presented on legal issues relating to school districts at the North Dakota School Boards Association annual School Law Seminar and the Negotiations Seminar. In addition, Laura serves as a mentor in the University of North Dakota Pancratz Mentorship Program.
Laura grew up on a farm in Willow City, North Dakota. She drove combine every harvest season from the time she was twelve years old. Now, she resides in Grand Forks, North Dakota, with her husband and daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, playing volleyball, basketball, or golf, traveling, and attending art shows or musicals.
