      Biography

      Lauri J. Corley joined Nagle & Zaller, P.C., in January of 2017. Lauri brings with her more than 10 years of experience in the area of community association law with a focus on the transactional needs of our clients.Prior to joining Nagle & Zaller, Lauri worked as an associate at a law firm located in Baltimore County where she represented both national and local developers and builders as well as provided counsel to management companies and boards of directors of community associations throughout Maryland. In that capacity, Lauri assisted clients in every aspect of community association law including, the formation, development and continuing governance of master planned communities, condominium regimes, homeowners' associations, land condominiums and mixed-use projects.

      Lauri regularly assists clients with drafting of amendments to their governing documents, whether it is an amendment addressing a specific topic or a comprehensive replacement of all the association's governing documents or rules and regulations. A large part of Lauri's practice includes reviewing and interpreting declarations, bylaws and rules and regulations as well as assisting with the preparation of consumer disclosure materials in compliance with Maryland law and negotiating vendor contracts. Lauri's experience also includes: advising client regarding covenant violations, drafting of easement agreements, reviewing and preparing contracts of sale, and negotiating residential and commercial lease agreements.

      During law school, Lauri worked as a law clerk for a real estate attorney assisting community association boards of directors and management companies with covenant interpretation, drafting of amendments to declarations and bylaws, and the preparation of rules and regulations. She was also a Rule 16 Student Attorney with the Community Development Clinic, where she represented a local non-profit community association in a neighborhood facing redevelopment. Lauri is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Section of Real Property, Planning and Zoning, the Maryland Building Industry Association, the Professional Women in Building Council and the Community Associations Institute.

      Lauri lives in Baltimore County with her Husband, daughter and son, and she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
