Family is complicated. Nobody understands that quite like Leah Shellberg. Known throughout the Triad for her sunny disposition and fierce advocacy, Leah's practice centers around protecting children and assisting clients in navigating the turbulent waters of divorce.Leah completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina in Asheville, and graduated from Elon University School of Law cum laude. While she was in law school, she was a research assistant, and provided pro bono legal counsel to some of Guilford County's most vulnerable populations in Elon's Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic. Shortly after graduation, the San Diego International Law Journal published her article, Samsāra to Nirvāna: What Would It Mean to Actually Free Tibet? As soon as she was licensed, Leah fearlessly launched her own law practice in Guilford County, working tirelessly to provide compassionate and practical legal representation.
Over her 6 years as a solo practitioner, she provided criminal, domestic and immigration counsel in Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Yadkin, Randolph, Davidson and Davie counties. In time, she realized that she got the most satisfaction from using her skills to assist families in some of their darkest times, and she decided to focus her practice on family law. She prides herself on practical, creative legal solutions, integrity, and her ability to truly understand and connect with her clients. She currently serves family law clients in Randolph, Davidson and Guilford counties. A self-professed cat lady to the core, Leah is a voracious reader and seeker of knowledge.
