I had a very high conflict custody battle for years, and if not for Mrs. Erdmann, my son would not have turned out to be the amazing young man that he is. Some characteristics of Mrs. Erdmann are: • Knowledgeable of the Law • Great Communication Skills • Responsiveness • Patience • Great Listening Skills • Hardworking and Persevering • Compassionate • Connects with the client and the case • Passionate • Creative Ideas • Truthful, Insightful • Persevere-we may have lost a couple battles, but we won the war

I hired Ms. Erdmann in August 2019 for my divorce. The court date was January 2020. I had tried to perform the divorce amicably with my ex. At my initial consultation with Erdmann she assured me that my ex’s demands were unreasonable. Even saying that she hoped my ex talked to a good attorney because they would let her know. I felt confident coming out of that consultation that Ms. Erdmann had my best interests in consideration. In the months that followed leading up to the court case, I didn’t hear anything from Ms. Erdmann. I would reach out myself to see if she needed any information or what I could provide. Usually going through her assistant. As we got within a week or so of the court date, she began to pepper me with more questions. Questions that should have been answered months before. On the day of court is where things went from bad to worse. Ms. Erdmann was ill prepared. We had a court date, but the judge who was overseeing our case had a trial before ours. Ms. Erdmann and my ex’s attorney began negotiations to settle out of court. It was clear Ms. Erdmann did not want to go to court and did everything in her power to avoid it, including suggesting certain concessions that, in hindsight, were horrible decisions. Some highlights include: 1. My wife has custody of the kids 6 days a week (I requested 50/50) 2. I explained to Ms. Erdmann that a bonus should not be included in determining custody payments but she said it would be too complicated to write up. I was stuck with $1500 in payments monthly plus 60% of additional expenses (including child care) And to know ones surprise, I am not receiving a bonus this year due to Covid. 3. Ms. Erdmann said that my mother was a witness for my ex to say I should not get custody. This was the true reason my ex got 6/7 days. I told Ms. Erdmann that made no sense. She said that my ex and her attorney had her available as a witness. The last thing I wanted was my mom testifying against me. I did not want my mom involved in anything. I regret accepting this. Post court I asked my ex why she would have my mom as a witness. SHe said she never did. I asked my mom who said she didn’t know anything about it. My ex asked her attorney and he said he never said my mom would be there. In a conversation with Ms. Erdmann after the fact, she still insists this was the case. 4. I gave up 50% of my savings and 401k during marriage 5. Ms. Erdmann said since we didn’t go to court I would get back at least $3,000. After months after the court date asking why I was still getting charged and where the remainder of the fee was, I received a check for about $1,500. There are other instances and issues I had with Ms. Erdmann. I waited to write this response as I did not want to be emotional about it, but it still drives me insane everything that happened on that day. My only recourse was writing a review. I have spoken to Ms. Erdmann and she was miffed why I would be upset with the result. I would not recommend this attorney.
