      Biography

      Malcolm A. Purow is an attorney with Steinger, Iscoe & Greene serving both the Fort Lauderdale and Miami offices. He has tried over 100 jury trials and has been litigating personal injury cases for over 27 years. Mr. Purow specializes in personal injury and he litigates cases involving auto and truck accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death, products liability, cruise ship accidents, and many other forms of personal injury claims.Mr. Purow is a Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist as certified by the Florida Bar. Board certification recognizes attorneys' special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Mr. Purow is also AV (pre-eminently) rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which is an objective indicator of a lawyer's high ethical standards and, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary.

      Prior to becoming a civil litigator, he was an Assistant State Attorney for Dade County, working for State Attorney Janet Reno. He was a Major Crimes Prosecutor handling First Degree Murder and other high profile cases and was also Deputy Chief of the Felony Division, supervising 36 felony prosecutors.

      Mr. Purow attended the State University of New York at Albany, obtaining a Bachelor's of Science Degree, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Miami School Of Law. Mr. Purow is licensed to represent clients in state and federal courts throughout Florida. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association, Broward County Justice Association, and Palm Beach County Justice Association. He has taught trial tactics at the State Attorney's Office and has lectured at the Miami-Dade Community College Police Academy on constitutional law.
