Mara C. Brust

Mara Brust joined Hall Law in October 2017. She previously practiced in the areas of personal injury, products liability, and medical malpractice at a law firm in Fargo, ND, for six years, where she gained extensive trial experience.

Mara graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Broadcasting & Mass Communication Technologies from North Dakota State University. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. While in law school, Mara served on the editorial board and article review board of Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law, and she was recognized for her pro bono work at Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota. Mara interned for U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan (N.D.) and the Department of Justice’s Fraud Section in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of North Dakota in Fargo.

Mara was included in both the 2016 and 2017 Great Plains Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers.The annual Great Plains Super Lawyers list is made up of 5 percent of all lawyers in Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Mara also serves as the secretary of the board of governors of the North Dakota Association of Justice and is a member of the Minnesota Association of Justice, the American Association of Justice, the Stearns-Benton County Bar Association, and the John E. Simonett Chapter of the American Inns of Court. She is licensed to practice law in North Dakota and Minnesota in both state and federal court.
