In Pemberton Law's Alexandria office, Marc Sugden primarily practices in the real estate; commercial lending; and general business industries, with a focus on complex commercial financing matters; real estate and business asset transactions; and entity formation. Marc also maintains a general estate planning practice.
Prior to joining Pemberton Law in 2015, Marc developed an understanding of broad real estate, lending, and business concepts while practicing with a large regional law firm in Minneapolis and with a mid-size law firm in St. Cloud. Marc has represented individuals, privately-held and family-owned businesses, regional and national financial institutions, and Fortune 500 companies. Regardless of the client or the transaction, Marc's goal is to assist his clients in attaining their legal and business objectives efficiently and with clarity.
A native of Hallock, Minnesota, Marc graduated with honors from Concordia College (Moorhead) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Political Science. He received his law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
Marc is licensed to practice in both Minnesota and North Dakota, is a member of the real property section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the State Bar Association of North Dakota, and has served as volunteer attorney with the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans and LegalCORPS. Marc has also served as a committee member with the United Way, and is eager to become an active member within the Alexandria community.
Marc and his wife, Charis, reside in rural Alexandria with their son, William, and daughter, Kajsa. Outside of the office, Marc enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting the many area lakes, golfing, fishing, and following athletics.
