Growing up, Marc Yonker had a family friend who was a lawyer and practiced personal injury law. "I was intrigued. I knew at a young age I wanted to be a lawyer," says Yonker.
Following high school graduation, Yonker moved to sunny Tampa for college. He graduated from the University of South Florida in 1990 with a degree in Economics; and went on to attend law school at Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, graduating in 1993.
After practicing personal injury law at other firms, Yonker partnered with Bill Winters at the turn of the century to open Winters and Yonker in Tampa soon after the new millennium.
While Yonker is driven by a dedicated work ethic, he enjoys the Florida sun and genuine fun. Golf, baseball, the beach and his wife and children fulfill Yonker's personal life. He's a devoted Rays and Buccaneers fan.
Yonker takes an aggressive, yet compassionate approach to his practice -- "giving up" is not a word used in his vocabulary. Helping people battle insurance companies is what he enjoys most about being a lawyer. While he approaches the courtroom as an onslaught for justice. His passion for helping others reflects in the bonds he builds with his clients. He loves being able to help people without asking for any money up front.
"We are very good negotiators. I believe you are born a negotiator, and I think that's why I get the results I do," Yonker explains. "I had a client who was terribly hurt by a driver who fled the scene of an accident. Through a lot of work I found the vehicle and was able to recover almost one million dollars for my client."
Currently Yonker is a member of the Florida and Pennsylvania Bar Association
