Mark W. Boczar is an attorney at the Philadelphia office with a passion for insurance litigation. At his prior firm, Mr. Boczar diligently represented his clients' interests against life insurance companies and employers who have unlawfully delayed or denied payment of life insurance benefits. Mr. Boczar has obtained millions of dollars in settlements for his clients over the course of his career.
Mr. Boczar earned his B.A., cum laude, with a dual-degree in Finance and Risk Management & Insurance from Saint Joseph's University in 2013. During this time, he served as the Vice President of Gamma Iota Sigma; the international risk management, insurance and actuarial science collegiate business fraternity. He also completed an alternative course program in Bermuda, which focused on alternative risk financing and the reinsurance market. Mr. Boczar received his J.D. in 2016 from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he participated in the Temple Law Global Scholar Program in Rome, Italy and was a member of the Academic Core Enrichment Program.
Mr. Boczar has worked in various roles within the insurance industry prior to becoming an attorney. As an underwriter for Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Companies, he focused on performing account risk assessments for a wide range of insurance needs for organizations within the sports and recreation market. In addition to his underwriting experience, he worked in the group claims department at ACE Limited Insurance Company, where he conducted research on national and global insurance coverage and liabilities issues, assisted in the review of complex claims across all global product lines and conferred with legal counsel on claims requiring litigation. Most recently, he has been named as one of the top 30 Life and Health Professionals under 30 by ThinkAdvisor.
