Mark Walmer, Esq. has been practicing in the State of Pennsylvania for over 35 years, during which he served as Assistant District Attorney in Lancaster, PA and Assistant Public Defender of Lancaster County. Through his hard work and dedication to the legal field, he has developed a reputation throughout the surrounding community as a trustworthy and compassionate attorney who truly cares about helping his clients.Mark is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Lancaster Bar Association, and other organizations.
Mark's current practice is limited to clearing criminal records through Applications for Clemency and Expungements.
Born and raised just north of Lancaster in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, Mark is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Franklin Pierce Law Center, (now known as the University of New Hampshire School of Law). He was also a Research Fellow at Harvard Law School in the Spring of 1987.
He initially pursued law school intending to practice environmental defense or immigration law, but found himself drawn to criminal defense based on his desire and passion to help people. Fighting for fairness and the best interest of his clients has always been an important ideal to him. He has long believed it is his duty as a lawyer to give honest, practical advice about the severity of the situation a client is in, in addition to all possible consequences and penalties.
Mark devotes a significant portion of his time to charitable organizations. In the past, he actively participated in the Have a Heart for Persons in the Criminal Justice System, which worked with the Lancaster County Prison advocating for optimal standards. Additionally, he has spoken at high schools and colleges throughout the Lancaster area about the criminal justice system and how to avoid committing crimes by making good decisions. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, grandson, and his adult daughters, playing the guitar, home repair and jogging.
