I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. From an early age I was interested in the practice of law. My father, Nick, spent over thirty years on the bench as a provincial court judge.
I attended the University of Victoria where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Diploma in Applied Linguistics. After graduation, I traveled abroad to such countries as Ecuador, Cuba, Mauritius, Indonesia, Kenya, Rwanda, Egypt and Uganda. Spending these years outside North America allowed me to interact with people of many different backgrounds and gave me a true appreciation of the diverse global community we now share.
I earned my Juris Doctor from the Florida State College of Law, where I graduated with honors. Upon completion of my studies, I accepted a position as an assistant state attorney. As an ASA, I worked in both Orange and Osceola counties, handling thousands of cases in county and circuit court. Representing the people of Florida was a great honor, and joining Dan Newlin and Partners has allowed me to continue this service.
I am a member of the Orange County Bar Association.I live in Orlando with my wife, Charlotte and my daughter, Cheyenne.
