I am a graduate with distinction of Stanford University in political science. I received my law degree from the Boalt Hall Schoolf of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. I have been licensed in the District of Columbia since 1982 and in Maryland since 1999. I am also licensed to practice in the federal district courts for Maryland and the District of Columbia as well as the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. I practiced law in two federal agencies in the '80s and '90s for about six years and have been in private practice on my own since 1997.
I have a BV rating from Martindale Hubbell as well as a "Superb" rating from Avvo. I also have high client and peer review ratings. My general civil practice includes: litigation, appeals, legal malpractice, landlord tenant, personal injury, auto accidents, mold illness, property damage, contracts, business disputes, tort claims and settlement negotiations.
