Mary Beth Hand joined Sell & Melton, L.L.P. as an associate in August 2003. Mary Beth’s primary areas of focus are divorce and custody matters, governmental representation and personal injury.
Mary Beth is a native of McRae, Georgia, where she graduated from Telfair County High School as valedictorian. Mary Beth still maintains extensive community and social ties with her hometown. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she majored in criminal justice. At Georgia Southern, she was a member of both Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key Honor Societies.
Upon graduation from Georgia Southern, Mary Beth attended the University of Georgia School of Law. In May 2003, Mary Beth graduated magna cum laude from UGA, ranking in the top ten percent of her class. She was inducted into the Order of the Coif, the legal education system’s equivalent of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, in the spring of 2004. While at the University of Georgia, Mary Beth served on the Editorial Board and as Managing Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in November, 2003.
In their spare time, Mary Beth and her husband, Adam, enjoy reading, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.
