Biography
Prior to joining VASEK LAW, Maryam was a judicial law clerk for a District Court Judge in the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada. As a law clerk, Maryam managed thousands of divorce, custody, adoption, and termination of parental rights cases. While well-versed in family law, Maryam is also experienced in criminal defense, personal injury, intellectual property, and contract drafting and review. After her clerkship, Maryam joined VASEK LAW to apply this vast collection of knowledge to persons suffering a devastating injury, loss, or family trauma. She is a compassionate but fierce advocate for her clients.
Prior to attending law school, Maryam began her legal journey at one of the largest personal injury law firms in the State of Nevada. During law school, Maryam joined in the Iranian American Bar Association and the Middle Eastern Law Student Association. Maryam later worked for the City of Phoenix Public Defender and with a private attorney representing persons charged with both felonies and misdemeanors. After law school, Maryam drafted and reviewed contracts for small businesses and went on to work for one of the largest intellectual property firms in the United States. With this firm, Maryam filed trademarks worldwide for her clients and domestically opposed office actions by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Her wealth of experience across multiple disciplines grants her the ability to analyze and assist clients in many different civil, business, and transactional matters. As a personal injury attorney, Maryam is committed to providing her clients the time, attention, and care they deserve to achieve the best results possible.
