Matthew D. Swindle graduated summa cum laude from Harding University in 2007. Mr. Swindle then accepted a fellowship to study law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. While in law school, he was recognized for outstanding performance in multiple subject areas including legal research, writing & advocacy, evidence, and ethics. He was also selected by the American Bar Association for the Janet D. Steiger fellowship, through which Mr. Swindle worked with the Consumer Protection Division of the Arkansas Attorney General's office where he researched consumer issues and worked to protect Arkansans through enforcement of the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
In 2012, Mr. Swindle graduated from law school with a High Honors designation and was ranked number one in his class. He then began his practice of law with Reddick Law, where he handled appeals, class action litigation, and individual cases of nursing home abuse and malpractice. In 2015, Mr. Swindle accepted an appointment to clerk at the Arkansas Supreme Court for Justice Rhonda K. Wood. In 2016, he joined the faculty of Harding University where he attained the rank of Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and served as an advisor. While teaching at Harding, Mr. Swindle taught Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, Drugs, Alcohol & Crime, Evidence, Criminal Procedure, and Professional Ethics. During his time teaching, Mr. Swindle maintained a practice of counsel with Reddick Law, in which he handled appeals, consulted on novel legal issues and class action and medical malpractice litigation, as well as represented Arkansas's cities and counties in their case against opioid manufacturers and distributors.
In July 2022, Mr. Swindle returned to full-time practice with Reddick Law. As part of his practice, he most frequently litigates cases involving nursing home abuse and neglect and assisted living facility abuse and neglect. He also handles a number of the firm's appeals, and has worked on class actions, civil rights cases, and deceptive trade practices cases.
