Haltzman Law Firm is located one block from the Larimer County Courthouse in Fort Collins. Matthew A. Haltzman, the founder of Haltzman Law Firm, P.C. concentrates in DUI, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury. Matthew was selected as a Super Lawyers® Rising Star for 2019 and 2020. He was also named a “Top 40 Under 40” attorney by the National Trial Lawyers and is Lead Counsel verified in criminal law and civil Litigation. He is currently serving as the President of the Larimer County Bar Association (YLD).

Matthew spent the early years of his career working in government, including the Department of Justice and the United States Attorney’s Office. Matthew worked for the United States Attorney’s Office, Capital Crimes Unit, in the District of Puerto Rico, where he assisted the United States government in the prosecution of violent felons and offenders. Matthew also served as a SLIP prosecuting attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of Wyoming. As a SLIP prosecuting attorney Matthew obtained a “Confidential” level national security clearance and practiced federal criminal prosecution in Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. Prior to working for the United States Attorney’s Office Matthew served as a judicial law extern to the Honorable Judge Richard L. Bourgeois, Jr. in the United States District Court for the Middle District

Since being admitted to the Colorado Bar, Matthew has successfully represented hundreds of plaintiffs in personal injury, trucking and automobile cases in Colorado and in the Western United States. Matthew also dedicates a considerable amount of his practice towards defending clients charged with crimes in Federal and State Courts. Prior to founding Haltzman Law Firm, P.C. Matthew practiced federal complex civil litigation with a national law firm in Cheyenne, Wyoming and spent four years after that as a trial attorney for a well established personal injury litigation firm.

Haltzman law firm represented me on a pretty serious traffic ticket, speeding in a construction zone, and his result were outstanding! Def would recommend Matt to anyone.I also would like to say, that as a transgender person dealing with constant discrimination, such as purposeful misgendering, Matt was an amazing ally on that front consistently correcting the court for me.He also took my mental illness into account and made sure to do his best to assist me and help me along the way.I thought that was worthwhile to share for any of the trans and or neurodivergent community looking for a lawyer who cares in this area.
