Matthew Bretz is a Kansas native and a graduation of Kansas State University and Pepperdine School of Law. He got his start as an attorney with the Los Angeles firm of Erin Brockovich, Delta Force II and The Twilight Zone fame - Engstrom Lipscomb & Lack. Matt later returned to Kansas, and opened Bretz Law Offices in 1997. The firm name was changed to Bretz & Young in 2013 when Melinda Young joined as partner.
Matt is a former instructor of classical and contemporary physics and uses that background to help him construct a detailed understanding of the factors at play in motor vehicle accidents.
Matt serves on the Board of Directors for United Way, the Training and Evaluation Center of Hutchinson (TECH), and the Board of Governors for the Kansas Association for Justice (KSAJ). He is a former board member for The American Red Cross, Interfaith Housing, and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and a Sunday School Teacher.
