Matthew Velazquez

Attorney Matthew Velazquez was born and raised in Hialeah, Florida. As the son of immigrants from both Cuba and Nicaragua, he knows the struggle of families who want nothing more than to become Americans and make the United States their true home. After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy with Summa Cum Laude honors at Florida International University, Matthew obtained his Juris Doctor from FIU's College of Law in 2017. Since then, his focus as an attorney has been assisting clients navigate the complexities of immigration law. Matthew is an active member of the Florida State Bar and the American Bar Association, having had the privilege of representing both individuals and families in all manner of cases before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, Executive Office of Immigration Review, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

El abogado Mateo Velázquez nació y se crio en Hialeah, Florida. Como hijo de inmigrantes de Cuba y Nicaragua, el conoce la lucha de familias que no quieren nada más que convertirse en estadounidenses y hacer de los Estados Unidos su verdadero hogar. Después de completar su Licenciatura en Filosofía con honores Summa Cum Laude en la Universidad Internacional de Florida, Mateo obtuvo su Doctorado en Jurisprudencia de la Facultad de Derecho de FIU en el 2017. Mateo es un miembro activo del Colegio de Abogados del Estado de Florida y de la Asociación Americana de Abogados, habiendo tenido el privilegio de representar tanto a individuos como a familias en todo tipo de casos ante el Servicio de Ciudadanía e Inmigración de los Estados Unidos, la Oficina Ejecutiva de Revisión de Inmigración, y la Junta de Apelaciones de Inmigración.
