An associate attorney in the firm's Business Law Group, Maura concentrates her practice in the areas of general corporate law, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business planning. Her experience includes counseling clients on entity selection and formation and reviewing and drafting various other corporate documents, such as operating agreements, employment agreements, and stock redemption agreements. Maura also has a background in assisting clients with both residential and commercial real estate matters and transactions and has considerable experience drafting residential and commercial leases, drafting sales agreements and deeds, coordinating closings, preparing easements, counseling clients on land use and zoning issues, and representing homeowners and municipal clients in tax assessment appeals.
Prior to joining the firm, Maura worked at a large Pittsburgh firm where she counseled clients on oil and gas due diligence matters and at a boutique firm in White Oak, Pennsylvania, where she practiced business, real estate, municipal, and family law. Maura earned her Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Duquesne Law Review and as Secretary of the Appellate Moot Court Board. Before attending law school, Maura received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh, where she studied Chinese language, history, and culture.
