Melissa Barnes

Melissa Barnes is the Legal Assistant at Lanny D. Ray, Attorney at Law, PLLC and the first person to greet you as you arrive. She has over 6 years of Administrative Assistant experience and supports the entire staff by filing legal documents, drafting correspondence and pleadings and assisting clients at the front desk.

Melissa attended Sam Houston State University working towards a BFA in Graphic Design for 3 years. She has since switched degrees to a BA in Interior Design and is continuing to earn her degree in that field. In 2013 Melissa won a contest with her interior design being chosen for renovation of the recreational center at The Connection student Apartments (formerly The Exchange).

Outside the office, Melissa loves spending time with her Husband and 3 year old son. They enjoy biking, attending neighborhood activities on the lake and spending time with Melissa’s family in Houston.
