Mellisa A. Reilly is an associate attorney working out of the Petoskey office. Mellisa brings a variety of experience to Molosky & Co. including criminal law, family law, and general civil litigation.
Mellisa grew up in Metro Detroit and graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2015. Mellisa graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in Spring 2019. During law school, Mellisa interned at the Washtenaw County Public Defender's Office and the Eaton County Prosecutor's Office. She also worked as a student clinician in the Chance at Childhood law clinic.
After graduating law school from Michigan State University College of Law, Mellisa served as an assistant district attorney in Manhattan, New York. Prior to her full time role as an ADA, Mellisa was a law fellow in the Special Victims Bureau. During her time in New York, Mellisa handled a high volume caseload including cases involving child abuse, sex crimes, domestic violence, and hate crimes.
Mellisa returned to her home state of Michigan in 2021 and joined Molosky & Co. as a paralegal while she studied for the Michigan bar exam. During her time as a paralegal, Mellisa gained experience in real estate litigation, business law, and personal injury matters. After admission to the Michigan Bar in November 2021, Mellisa practiced family law and handled high-conflict divorce matters, personal protection petitions, and custody/paternity disputes. Mellisa is also trained in Collaborative Divorce.
Mellisa re-joined the Molosky & Co. team in January 2023 and looks forward to assisting clients in achieving their legal goals, planning for their personal and professional futures, and protecting their legal interests.
