      Biography

      Micah Adkison has extensive experience litigating contract, tort, and real property disputes. He is equally adept at pursuing product liability cases having recently secured a major settlement of a complex case involving a claim for lost reserves flowing from a downhole casing failure in his client's oil well.

      Micah is a past President of the Mineral Lawyers' Society of Oklahoma City. During law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal (ONE J), received numerous academic awards, and was the recipient of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Scholarship. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

      Micah's recent successes include the following:

      • As defense counsel in a case involving claims for unpaid oilfield services invoices, secured summary judgment on his clients' counterclaim for negligent mixing of drilling mud and an award of $570,958.00; the plaintiff took nothing

      • As defense counsel in a case involving an alleged breach of a master services agreement and a counterclaim for conversion, successfully compelled arbitration, secured an arbitration award and ultimately a judgment in the amount of $111,502.52; the plaintiff took nothing

      • Secured summary judgment, which was affirmed on appeal, on behalf of three oil and gas well operators in a dispute with a non-drilling plaintiff over the correct non-consent penalty to be applied to the plaintiff's interest; the plaintiff also claimed interest under the Oklahoma Production Revenue Standards Act; the plaintiff took nothing

      • As defense counsel, secured summary judgment, protecting an access easement to a large farm which was alleged to have terminated; the plaintiff took nothing

      He regularly attends Pecan Valley Baptist Church with his wife, Melissa, and their three children.
