Michael Alan Myers Esq

Mike is an honors graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he graduated in the top 20% of his law school class. Mike is a trial lawyer with over 15 years of professional experience in representing injured people, and has recovered millions of dollars for his injured clients.

The Myers Law Firm was established in June of 2012 by the husband and wife team of Michael A. Myers and Laura Bradley Myers. Mike and Laura are each experienced civil trial lawyers, and they bring nearly thirty years of combined legal expertise to the practice of personal Injury and accident law in Tennessee.

In addition to collecting millions of dollars in judgments and settlements for our injured clients, both Mike has made individual contributions to the development of pro-plaintiff negligence law in the state of Tennessee. Mike created and authored the legal theory and arguments in West v. East Tennessee Pioneer Oil Co., 172 S.W.3d 545 (Tenn. 2005), an important case in which the Tennessee Supreme Court expanded the duty of care owed to reasonably foreseeable third parties under negligence and negligent entrustment theories. Laura’s published work on negligent infliction of emotional distress injuries has been cited and relied upon by the Tennessee Supreme Court in Estate of Julie Amos et al. v. Vanderbilt University et al., 62 S.W.3d 133 (Tenn. 2001).

Our philosophy of legal practice is to prepare each client’s case for trial with aggressive, diligent, unrelenting legal representation. We prepare for trial, not case settlements. In the course of trial preparation, many cases do settle prior to trial, but we think case settlement is a function of diligent, through trial preparation, and not a destination in and of itself. We are ready to try cases, and we do try cases. We’ve seen over and over that cases that are thoroughly and creatively pursued, prepared, and built from day one, are the best way to achieve maximum recovery results for our clients.
