Michael J Melton

Mr. Melton's practice includes real estate and business transactions, estate planning, and probate matters. His practice supports businesses, individuals, public agencies, and homeowner associations.Mr. Melton joined PJAMM in August 2021. Prior to joining the firm, he was a law clerk at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, at the San Diego Superior Court for Judge Richard Strauss, and at the San Diego County Public Defender. He volunteered in the unlawful detainer clinic for the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, assisting both tenants and landlords at the Hall of Justice.

Previously, Mr. Melton developed websites and worked as a financial reporting analyst. He published interactive SEC data filings (XBRL), including 10-K's and 10-Q's, for publicly traded corporate clients.

Mr. Melton was a California licensed real estate broker from 2009-2013, specializing in representation of loan servicers and facilitating hundreds of purchases of short sales and foreclosures.

Mr. Melton earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2021. He contributed to the California Regulatory Law Reporter as a student intern in the Center for Public Interest Law. Mr. Melton was a member of the Environmental Law Society while at USD Law.

Mr. Melton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of San Diego.
