Michael was raised in Montana, where he grew up in the outdoors and playing sports. After high school, Michael enrolled in the United States Navy and served four years. He was stationed onboard the U.S.S. Paul Hamilton (DDG 60), an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer with a home port of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. In 2011, Michael received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, and proceeded to obtain his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota School of Law in Grand Forks, North Dakota. After graduation he worked in a law firm in Dickinson, North Dakota before joining Knoll Leibel LLP in 2018. He is licensed to practice in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana, and is admitted to the United States District Court and the Bankruptcy Courts for the Districts of North Dakota and Montana. He practices in the areas of personal injury, general civil litigation, probate, contracts, estate planning, and family law.
