Michelle D. Schill

Michelle Schill is a founding partner of Martinez & Schill LLP. For fourteen years she has been zealously representing her clients throughout Southern California. Michelle has received many accolades including the designation of Super Lawyer for multiple years as well as "Top Attorney" and "Best of the Bar" awards in San Diego. She is well respected in the community earning the highest AV Peer Rating in the categories of Personal Injury and Litigation.

Michelle primarily practices in the following areas: personal injury including car accident, child injury, wrongful death, dog bite, brain injury, slip and fall, and other serious injury cases. Michelle has found it very rewarding to give a voice to those who have been injured and to vindicate their rights.

Michelle has extensive experience representing traumatic brain injury survivors. Michelle knows firsthand how brain injuries, from mild to severe, can change every aspect of someone's life. To be the best prepared advocate for her clients, she regularly attends brain injury conferences to stay apprised of the latest research. Michelle understands every TBI is different and finds it especially rewarding to get to know her clients and their family to prove the impact of the injury on each person's life.

Michelle is also well versed in handling trip and fall claims (premise liability) against both governmental entities and private property owners. Many lawyers refer these case to Michelle for handling based on her extensive knowledge and experience, as well as proven results.

Prior to founding Martinez & Schill LLP, Michelle spent much of her career working for insurance companies defending against personal injury cases. Michelle's past experience in working with insurance companies has provided her additional insight on how to negotiate the best settlement results for her personal injury clients. Michelle has secured multi-million-dollar results for her injured clients and their families.

Michelle understands to adequately serve her injured clients she must be more than just a great legal advocate. Michelle has witnessed first-hand the rippling effects life altering injuries can have on a family. As such, Michelle takes great care to aid her personal injury clients beyond the case to become an extension of the client's support system. Often it is a client's first experience with serious injury and Michelle is there every step of the way to assist the client from navigating the health care system to insurance claims.

Michelle earned her B.A. in Political Science and minor in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude, from San Diego State University in 2004. She graduated from California Western School of Law in 2008.

As a San Diego native, Michelle draws on her wide network of colleagues and friends in the local community to create the best results custom tailored for her clients. Michelle spends her free time with her husband and two sons. She enjoys travelling and reading.
