Nathan W. Karn, Sr. was born on January 10, 1974 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Furman University in 1996. Mr. Karn received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999 and served as brief-writer for the Appellate Moot Court Board in 1998-1999. Mr. Karn was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 2000 and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in 2003. Prior to joining Evey Black Attorneys in 2000, he was a law clerk to the Honorable Hiram A. Carpenter, III of the Blair County Court of Common Pleas. He is currently a member of the Blair County, Pennsylvania and America Bar Associations. Mr. Karn is the Solicitor for the County of Blair and serves as a solicitor to Boroughs, Townships and Municipal Authorities. He attends Grace Bible Church and helps in the Awana youth program. Mr. Karn has successfully argued before a panel of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and concentrates his practice in the following areas: Business Law (including formation, sale and purchase); Contracts; Corporations, Limited Liability Companies and Partnerships; Business Succession Planning; Pennsylvania Tax Credit transactions (including film credits) and escrow agent services; Estate Planning (Wills, Power of Attorney (POA) and Living Wills); Estate Administration; and Municipal Law.
