Nicole Tabbut

Nicole Tabbut is an associate attorney at Pemberton Law's Detroit Lakes office. Nicole is a member of the Family Law group and primarily practices in the areas of divorce, child custody and support, spousal maintenance, and adoption.

A native of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Nicole graduated summa cum laude from Minnesota State University (Moorhead) with a Bachelor of Social Work degree. Nicole then attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where she was an associate and senior editor on law review, served as Vice Justice and Justice of the Monroe Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and Chairperson of Student Bar Association's Social Committee. Nicole was named to the dean's list every semester during law school, received numerous CALI awards for having the highest scores in her classes, and graduated summa cum laude.

During law school, Nicole participated in the Judicial Fellowship program, where she clerked for the Honorable Waldemar Senyk. Nicole was also hired as a summer associate at the Ramsey County Attorney's Office, where she worked in the juvenile criminal division. After law school, Nicole clerked for a term at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

Nicole and her husband, Duane, reside in Detroit Lakes. When not in the office, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, cycling, hiking, camping, fishing, and reading.
