Phil focuses 100% of his practice on the representation of injured workers in all aspects of the Ohio Workers' Compensation system. His practice includes administrative hearings as well as the representation of clients in the Courts of Common Pleas throughout the state of Ohio. To date, Phil has participated in thousands of administrative hearings. He prides himself on working hard to find the best resolution of each workers' compensation claim for his clients.
In January of 2014, Phil became a partner at Willis Spangler Starling. Before joining the firm in February 2009, Phil spent a year clerking for the Ohio Attorney General in the workers' compensation section learning valuable and helpful insights into the practice of workers' compensation law.
Phil is a proud graduate of the The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While attending law school, he was involved in the Student Bar Association, Dispute Resolution program, and also participated in the Mock Trial program and Negotiations Competition, earning honors and a trip to the regional competition in Canada. Prior to that, he attended The Ohio State University for undergraduate and received his Bachelor of Arts in History.
Phil is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. He is an avid runner and is attempting, rather unsuccessfully, to learn how to golf as well. With the remainder of his free time, he enjoys cheering on the Reds, Bengals and Buckeyes, as well as traveling.
